‘The Colours Of’ bursts with emotion, with each piece reflecting the colours of my past – the colours I see in my mind. It’s a palette of interpretation that lets the audience see a unique perspective and the stories I carries that are never black and white.
My story is as unique as it is ordinary. Each piece speaks to the universal moments of connection, change and growth we all experience. ‘The Colours Of’ invites you to walk through my memories to see life as I do – raw, alive and beautiful – and ask yourself… what colours form your story?
‘THE COLOURS OF’ A SOLO EXHIBITION
The Colours Of exhibition at Q Gallery was a deeply personal exploration of color, memory, and connection. The vision was to create a body of work that was both universal in its themes and intimately tied to the emotions and stories that inspired it. Through bold palettes and thoughtful storytelling, the collection invited visitors to reflect on the moments and relationships that shape their own lives.
“Every painting is a glimpse into something that’s both past and present – alive through its colour.”
The collection featured a range of works, including a mini-series of twelve paintings, each depicting a month of the year through unique colour palettes, shapes and moods. These pieces complemented the 10 major works that delved deeper into themes of growth and relationships.
One of these main pieces, Sarah, held special significance, inspired by a childhood friend who had shared my earliest creative experiences. After not speaking for over two decades, I invited Sarah to the opening night to see the work. Her reaction was overwhelming—she not only loved the painting but deeply connected with its story, purchasing it on the spot. As a gesture of gratitude, and with just two weeks until her wedding, Sarah invited me to celebrate with her, adding an unforgettable personal connection to the exhibition.

Opening night was a vibrant and celebratory occasion, with the gallery filled with a supportive crowd engaging with the works. The response was incredible: both main paintings sold, the entire mini-series of twelve months found new homes, and the 2025 calendars featuring the mini-series were a huge success. The twelve hand-painted Christmas baubles created for the event sold out immediately, leading me to paint 51 more over the following days, most of which have also sold.
